libappstream-glib7 software package provides Library to access AppStream services, you can install in your Debian 8 (Jessie) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libappstream-glib7
libappstream-glib7 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libappstream-glib7 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libappstream-glib7 *
You will get with libappstream-glib7 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
